We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
When you use our contact form, we collect your name and email address. We use this to respond to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests.
If you subscribe to the SeaVoice newsletter, we collect your email address to send you updates. The lawful basis is consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
When you purchase from our print shop, payment is processed by PayPal or Stripe. We receive confirmation of your transaction and delivery address. We do not receive or store your card details. The lawful basis is contract.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how people use seavoice.org. Plausible collects no personal data and sets no cookies. It records aggregated, anonymised data. No information collected by Plausible can identify you as an individual.
We share data with the following third parties where necessary to operate the site:
Beehiiv (United States) — newsletter delivery. Your email address is stored on Beehiiv's platform under standard contractual clauses.
Stripe (United States) — payment processing, subject to standard contractual clauses.
PayPal (United States) — payment processing, subject to standard contractual clauses.
Webflow (United States) — website hosting and form handling, subject to standard contractual clauses.
Plausible Analytics (European Union) — anonymised analytics. No personal data transferred.
Contact form enquiries: up to 2 years from last contact.
Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
Purchase and transaction records: 7 years (legal requirement).
Under EU GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict how we process your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
